   hi,

   if my wife is a Vietnamese ,can i apply for a permanent resident card.what paper work i need?
   if i have a permanent resident card do i still need a work permit to work in Vietnam?

   Hello Alvin,

   Follow the law, if you are married Vietnamese citizen then you are qualified to apply for a Permanent Residence card

   However, the Permanent residence card does not help you to work in Vietnam, it only helps you to stay in Vietnam legally as long as your Permanent residence card is valid. In order to work in Vietnam legally, you will need to have a work permit.

   Please could you clarify something? I am working in Vietnam (with a work permit and temp residents card). My partner would like to also come out and live with me, however, she would not get a job (at least straight away). Can she get a temp residents card? We are not married. I know that you cannot keep re-newing your tourist visa for too long.

   If your partner and you are not married then your partner can not get a temporary residence card attached with your temporary residence card.

   I leave in PMH.. my landlord mentioned that he registered for me in the PMH police station already. but in the weekend I normally go to stay in my friend house in Dist. 2 (overnight). Please advise whether I should ask my friend to inform his landlord to register me under his address in Dist. 2 police station again?

   It is depend on the landlord in dist 2, as they might get a fine if the police check and you are staying there without being registered
